Margo Lydon

Chief Executive Officer, Company Secretary

As Chief Executive Officer and Company Secretary, Margo’s role is to manage the strategic direction and operations of SuperFriend, ensuring that the Foundation works to deliver on its mission of reducing the incidence of suicide and the impact of mental illness on individuals, employers, workplaces, families and friends.

She works closely and collaboratively with the superannuation Partner Funds, Partner Group Insurers and mental health organisations participating in SuperFriend. Margo thrives on seeing the work of SuperFriend having positive impact, adding value and changing workplace mental health in Australia for the better. Emma Vibert (formerly Emma Warren-Smith)

Head of Partner Relationships

Emma began her working life in wholesale financial services and has since gone on to hold diverse and senior roles in both the for-profit and for-purpose sectors.

Prior to joining SuperFriend, Emma was the Fundraising Manager at the Reach Foundation (which provides peer-led workshops for young people that aim to improve their mental health and wellbeing) where she was responsible for developing relationships with individuals, philanthropic partners and third party fundraisers. John Lee

Relationship Manager

John joined the SuperFriend team in November 2015, bringing skills in relationship management, health promotion and project management to his role as Relationship Manager.

Prior to joining SuperFriend, John has worked for breast screening programs in both the UK and Australia, most recently being the lead for Primary Health Engagement for BreastScreen Victoria, responsible for fostering and developing relationships to promote screening and ultimately reduce mortality rates due to breast cancer in Victoria. Kara Makhetha

Relationship Coordinator

Kara joined SuperFriend in July 2016 as a Relationship Coordinator. Kara’s role involves supporting the Relationship Management team in their delivery of SuperFriend’s goals, vision and strategic objectives.

Kara gained experience during her time as a Client Executive at Aon Risk Services managing a portfolio of complex risks, and she brings a wealth of knowledge from the Insurance Industry. Kara is passionate about mental health and wellbeing, and believes developing positive workplace culture is imperative to achieving employee satisfaction and engagement.

Kristina Basile

Head of Programs & Initiatives

Kristina joined SuperFriend in July 2015 as the organisation’s Program Manager. In her role she oversees the delivery of a suite programs and products that SuperFriend offers to its Partners Funds and employers. 

Kristina has a public health background and has worked in the education, community health and state government sectors. In these roles she has developed extensive experience in health promotion program planning, policy development and delivering state-wide programs targeting the prevention of chronic disease across a range of settings. Erin Farmer

Program Manager

In her role as Program Manager, Erin manages the development and delivery of SuperFriend projects and programs, ranging from Financial Services Training to digital apps and workplace programs. 

Since completing her degree in Psychology, Erin has spent the last 7 years developing and delivering policies and programs that aim to improve mental health outcomes in Australia and Internationally. With complimentary qualifications in fitness, policy and project management, Erin applies an integrated and holistic approach to meet the needs of fund members, employers and supporting stakeholders.

Tom Notley

Program Manager – Financial Services

Tom joined SuperFriend in August 2016 in the role of Program Manager – Financial Services.  He brings over 11 years’ experience of clinical treatment and Occupational Rehabilitation within the Insurance and Finance sectors of the UK and Australia. 

Tom specialises in the development and delivery of innovative early intervention, claims management and rehabilitation services for the Life Insurance industry.  In his role, Tom will be leading the development of programs developed specifically for the finance and insurance sectors, their employers and members.  Tom is passionate about influencing better practices in “Person Centred” approaches…

Program Manager

Kristyn joined the SuperFriend team as Program Manager, in August 2016, bringing over 10 years of Health Promotion experience. 

In this role, Kristyn manages and supports the development and delivery of SuperFriend programs.  Kristyn has held positions in both public and private healthcare, corporate and government sectors.  She is passionate about health promotion, particularly in the workplace, and is excited to be supporting the promotion of mental wellbeing in this setting.

Emma Dunstan

Program Manager

Emma joined SuperFriend in August 2016 and comes with 15 years’ experience working in the Health Promotion industry.

Strategic Collaborations Manager

Deborah joined SuperFriend as the Program Development Manager in 2011, and has moved on to managing SuperFriend’s strategic alliances. Terry Coleing

Head of Finance

Terry has recently relocated to Melbourne from the UK with his family to adopt a greater work/life balance. He has more than 20 years’ experience working at a senior level in finance within the not-for-profit sector in local government, education, charities and health organisations.

Financial Accountant
