Most of us are aware that exercise is good for us but simply knowing this is not necessarily enough to get (or keep) us active. Physiologically, exercise builds strength in muscles and bones and decreases the chance of contracting chronic illnesses such as diabetes and cancer. When I got out of bed on Thursday morning and headed off to the airport for a SuperFriend Board of Directors meeting in Sydney, I had no idea that my day was about to be turned upside down. Sitting on the aeroplane just over an hour later, I was white knuckled, gripping my seat’s armrests and doing my best not to shriek like a 12 year old.
