Beyond Blue

beyondblue aims to raise awareness of depression, help to reduce the stigma associated with the illness and encourage people to seek help if they think they may be depressed. MHCA

Mental Health Council of Australia (MHCA) is the peak, non-government body established to represent and promote the interests of the  health sector and advise on mental health in Australia. The MHCA is a dynamic organisation which works at the forefront of mental health reform in Australia.

MIFA

Mental Illness Fellowship Australia (MIFA) formed as a national body in 1986 and is a not-for-profit self-help, support and advocacy organisation of people with serious mental illnesses, their families and friends. Such illnesses include schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorders and anxiety disorders.

Suicide Prevention Australia

Suicide Prevention Australia is a non-profit, non-government organisation working as a public health advocate in  prevention. SPA is the only national umbrella body active in suicide prevention throughout Australia.

Lifeline

Lifeline delivers a range of national services, such as our 24 hour telephone counselling line available on 13 11 14, which promote emotional wellbeing, encourage help-seeking, and address suicide prevention and awareness.

MMHA

Multicultural Mental Health Australia (MMHA) provides national leadership in mental health and suicide prevention for Australians from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. MMHA is funded under the National Mental Health Strategy and National Suicide Prevention Strategy by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.

Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an award winning training program for members of the public in how to support someone in a mental health crisis situation or who is developing a mental disorder. It increases knowledge, reduces stigma and, most importantly, increases supportive actions.

Sane Australia

SANE Australia - the mental health charity. SANE works for a better life for people affected by mental illness – through education, research and campaigning. It operates a national Helpline – 1800 18 SANE – and publishes a wide range of easy-to-read information and DVDs on mental illess and related topics. Helpline: 1800 18 SANE (7263).

Wesley Mission

Wesley Mission has a real mission – to minister to a community with real needs. Wesley Mission's ministry of care is as diverse as the needs of our community, including Counselling, Disability Support, Employment Services and Health Services.
