AIST Members
SuperFriend works closely with the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST) to provide SuperFriend training for AIST members.
The Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees is a national not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to promote and protect the interests of Australia's $450 billion not-for-profit superannuation sector. AIST's membership includes the trustee directors and staff of industry, corporate and public-sector funds, who manage the superannuation accounts of nearly two-thirds of the Australian workforce.
SuperFriend facilitates specialist mental health training for staff from participating industry superannuation funds, group life insurers and administrators to enable them to confidently “step into” conversations with members who may be in distress, at risk or experiencing a mental health issue.
Currently, SuperFriend has two training modules available through AIST:
To date SuperFriend has facilitated training of over 700 sector staff in this very important area, with many organisations in the superannuation sector recognising that by investing in the skills and resources of their staff they are investing in their organisation’s future, which ultimately benefits their members.
