Our Board

SuperFriend is proud to acknowledge the leadership and direction of our Board of Directors.

The Board is chaired by Cbus CEO, David Atkin. The Board of Directors are senior representatives from SuperFriend’s Partner Funds, together with Independent Directors. There are currently eight Directors on the SuperFriend Board. The Board meets at least four times a year and is responsible for oversight of the strategic direction, governance, risk, finance and long-term sustainability of the organisation.

David is the CEO for Cbus, the national industry fund for more than 777,987 building and construction workers Australia-wide, with AUD $46.7 billion funds under management.

David was formerly the CEO for Emergency Services and State Super and also the CEO for JUST Super, the industry fund for the media and entertainment industries. Deputy Chair, SuperFriend Board; Chief Strategy & Impact Officer, Sunsuper

Teifi is Chief Strategy & Impact Officer at Sunsuper, one of Australia’s largest superannuation businesses. She has had an extensive career in the wealth management industry with more than 15 years’ experience in executive management roles.

Prior to joining Sunsuper, Teifi had an extensive career in the broader financial services industry with more than 30 years’ marketing, customer and product experience in large institutions both in Australia and the UK.

Professor Niki Ellis

Niki is an occupational and public health physician. Her career has spanned policy development in government, consultancy in the private sector and more recently academia.
