However, it is completely normal and important to seek support if you’re feeling overwhelmed by COVID-19, or during any difficult time for that matter.

There are many avenues for support available, including:

1. Support through your employer

Your employer may have a number of resources, people and processes already in place to assist you, such as:

  • Regular team check ins – Regular team check-ins can be a great way to connect, provide support and discuss how you are coping with your team.
  • Your People Leader – People Leaders are often a great source of support and assistance during difficult times, and may be able to point you in the direction of options available through your workplace.
  • HR team – Your Human Resources team can support you during difficult times and may be able to provide helpful resources and advice.
  • Workplace EAP – Many workplaces have specialised Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) to connect you with professional, anonymous counselling services.

2. External support services

There are a range of services available that you can access online or over the phone, or you can connect with a health professional such as your GP or a psychologist. Below are some services that may be helpful in your journey towards getting any support you need.
